St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands — St. Thomas Carnival 2026 is here, and if you’ve been waiting to see what’s happening, who’s performing, and how to plan your days — this is where you start.

From early events like Calypso Monarch, Food Fair and Boat Race to Village Nights, J’ouvert, and Parade — this is your full breakdown of what’s happening and when.
Carnival builds into full energy starting April 26…but Village Nights — the main nightly experience — begin April 27 through May 2. The theme for St. Thomas Carnival 2026 is "Where Culture, Rhythm & Good Times Mix".
And yes… I already getting ready for Busta Rhymes, but need to get ready for our very own 2Ekwip, I mean Rock City. This time I brushing up on the lyrics early — I not missing a word (ok let's be real, I will have my own spin of lyrics lol).

VI starting Carnival with Alison Hinds and Farmer Nappy on the same night — whoever thought Monday was a slow night clearly never been to the Village.

Sunday, May 3 Virgin Islands Poker Run – Ocean Co’Mocean (May 3, 2026)
Carnival done? Not quite. This is how we close out Carnival. We Outside Outside!
The energy continues on the water with the Ocean Co’Mocean Poker Run — one of the biggest post-Carnival events in the Virgin Islands.
If you’ve never experienced it, this is the one you don’t want to miss. This is not a race — it’s a poker card game on the water.
Participants travel to multiple stops around St. Thomas, collecting one (1) card per hand along the way. The best 3 poker hands at the end wins.

4/23/26 - Hi Everyone! Flo here. I will post my commentaries here as often as I can for the various events. Let's start off with the Jr Calypso Show. I joined the USVI Festivals live as my plan was to attend it tomorrow, however the schedule was unknowingly updated.
I loved how the youth ran the show, from the committee to the contestants to the performers. They had powerful messages too, energy and style. Music entertainment was provided by Selecta Ice, who by the way played a good blend of current and past music.
From what I saw (online of course) seating was provided for attendees which was wonderful because I thought I had to walk with a chair. There…
