Put Dung Deh Gun 2023: Rally Videos and Photos in St. Thomas
Updated: Oct 24
Here are my five videos and 51 photos from the October 20, 2023 Put Dung Deh Gun, It’s a Poker Run rally in St. Thomas. The message matters to me. Too many Virgin Islanders have died through gun violence, including both of my brothers. Life is too short. It is time to put down the guns and find another way.
The original flyer names the Department of Health MCH Division, UVI Social Science Department, Division of Festivals, Virgin Islands Police Department and Department of Justice as presenters. It advertised a route from Yacht Haven to the Fort Christian parking lot, with music and an anti-violence message for young people.

The highlights video includes the theme-song competition, a VIPD K9 demonstration, rally winners, a warm-up exercise with Coach Douglas, advice for young people, “I Choose Me” affirmations and a flashlight remembrance for loved ones who have died.
