Turn One Business Story Into Six Useful Posts With AI

Updated: 7 days ago

Making fresh content every week can feel like another job. You may already have something useful: a blog post, an event video or a flyer. I would start there, before searching for six new ideas.

That existing piece is your source: the information you can check and reuse. Repurposing means changing the angle or format to help a different reader need, not posting the same caption six times. AI can help draft, but you are responsible for what goes out.

Illustrative diagram: one approved source becomes an introduction, checklist, FAQ, clarification, short video and discussion question.

Start with information you can safely reuse

Choose material you own or have permission to use. Remove private customer details, passwords and account numbers before putting it in an AI chat. Do not use client or employer material just because you can access it. Check the tool's privacy settings. A public photo or video is not automatic permission to reuse it.

One source, six different jobs

Ask which question each post should answer. Give each one a purpose the others do not have.

1. Introduce the process

Explain how something works. This helps a new reader understand the first step and what happens next, without confusing an inquiry with a confirmed order.

2. Help someone prepare

Turn the required information into a short checklist. This gives someone a practical next step and reduces missing details before they contact you.

3. Answer one real question

Choose a question people actually ask and answer it directly. A useful FAQ removes one specific uncertainty; it is not another general introduction.

4. Correct a misunderstanding

Explain one mistaken assumption using your actual terms or process. This can prevent a reader from taking the wrong step, such as paying before a request is accepted.

5. Show the steps in a short video

Use permitted footage or a labeled practice graphic to demonstrate the process. Seeing a sequence can help someone who finds written directions harder to follow. Keep captions and on-screen text readable.

6. Invite a useful reply

Ask what still needs explaining. Real questions can show you what to cover next. Do not turn an invented reply into a customer review or ask people to share private order details.

One fictional example

Island Practice Bakery is a made-up teaching example, not a Flo Dynasty client or an available offer. Its process says a customer supplies an occasion, size, date and design reference; the bakery reviews the request before confirming availability or price, and payment waits until acceptance.

Example caption: “Hypothetical example: Island Practice Bakery reviews custom-cake requests before confirming availability or price. Start with your occasion, preferred size, date and a design reference.”

That caption introduces the process without adding a price, delivery promise or guaranteed booking. Keep it as private practice; a fact check does not make an imaginary business real.

Three checks before sharing

  • Facts and permission: Can you point to your source for every claim, and are the words, images, music and footage yours to use? Remove invented prices, reviews, benefits or promises.

  • Purpose and next step: Does this post do a different job, and is its next step clear? Open the real link and check that it reaches the intended page.

  • Voice and usability: Read it aloud. Does it sound like you? Check it on a phone, including image text and video captions, and have the responsible person approve the final facts and wording.

Finish one useful post first

You do not need to publish all six at once. Choose the most useful one, check it and save the version you can use. Park the other ideas. Notice what people ask and which useful links they follow; likes alone do not show whether the content helped.

What a practical approach to content creation! I especially agree with the point that 'likes alone do not show whether the content helped,' emphasizing the importance of clear purpose and next steps. This framework truly simplifies content strategy, making it feel like a challenging slope unblocked by smart planning and repurposing.
