Cibone Restaurant in Frederiksted, St. Croix: My Video and Dining Review
Updated: 4 days ago

Join me for my first Cibone experience in Frederiksted, St. Croix. Across three evenings, I tried lobster, NY strip and a vegetable pineapple stir-fry. This is my original 2023 visit, with the short video and food photos below.
My first Cibone dining experience
I spent three evenings enjoying Cibone in Frederiksted. The food, service and atmosphere gave me plenty to remember, from tender lobster and steak to a colorful pineapple presentation.
The atmosphere
The music helped set the tone when I walked in. The setting felt warm and inviting, making it a comfortable place to settle into the evening.
What I ate across three evenings
Day 1: Tender lobster
My first meal was a lobster dish that was soft and tender. It practically melted in my mouth and left me looking forward to the next visit.

Day 2: NY strip
The following evening, I tried the NY strip. I did not need a steak knife; a regular knife sliced through it easily. That tenderness stood out to me.

Day 3: Vegetable pineapple stir-fry
The vegetable pineapple stir-fry arrived in a pineapple shell with a colorful mix of vegetables. The presentation was part of what made the dish memorable.

Oswald’s freshly squeezed lemonade
Oswald, the bartender during my visit, made a freshly squeezed lemonade that was zesty, sweet and refreshing alongside the meal.
Entertainment I missed
I did not catch the live-entertainment nights during my visit. I had heard about musicians and magic performances, but this article is not a review of those shows. Check directly with Cibone for any current entertainment schedule.
More to enjoy in Frederiksted
Coming from St. Thomas, I expected a longer drive to Frederiksted from the central part of St. Croix. My trip took about 15 minutes, which surprised me. That was my particular journey, not a general drive-time estimate. I would love to see more doors open in Frederiksted; it has its own charm.
The beaches and town
Frederiksted’s beaches were another part of the visit I enjoyed. There is more to take in than a meal, so leave yourself time to explore the town and waterfront too.
A shoutout to Chef Ahmod
A shoutout to Chef Ahmod for the ginger mussels that helped start this dining experience. His food was part of what made those visits memorable.
Would you try Cibone?
I enjoyed those meals and would look forward to another visit. Have you eaten at Cibone? Tell me which dish you remember or would want to try in the comments.
