The excitement of St. Thomas Jouvert 2025 is still fresh in the air! I joined my first Jouvert troupe — Kaleidoscope — and had an amazing time.

This year, I had the pleasure of joining the Kaleidoscope Jouvert Group for my first-ever experience in a jouvert troupe. From the two giant gorillas to the walking T-Rex, it was an unforgettable experience, full of energy, colors, and fun. The group’s creative costumes and infectious energy made for an amazing start to my carnival journey.

VIPD and other emergency agencies were front and center at St. Thoms Jouvert 2025, ensuring the safety of the crowd while the energy was high all around. The streets were alive with the sound of amazing bands, including Jam Band, Blind Earz, and many more. While I missed performances by Skinny Fabulous and Uncle Sasso due to the multiple bands and artists, the experience was still unforgettable.
Unfortunately, not all was smooth sailing—there were a few mishaps, including some injuries and at least one arrest. Rumors of fights and people passing out also made their rounds, but the emergency teams were there to handle everything. The event wrapped up earlier than planned after some disruptions. Big thanks to VIPD and emergency crews for their prompt response — safety is the top priority.
