Hey hey! Let me tell you about my sweet (literally) escape to the St. Croix Food Fair 2025. If you’re into vibrant vibes, delicious eats, and a whole lot of culture, this was the place to be. I’m still trying to recover from the sugar rush and the sheer excitement of it all… but let’s get into the juicy details.

Quadrille, Stanley, and Sweet Sounds

We kicked things off with a little taste of tradition. The Quadrille dancers had the crowd mesmerized with their beautiful, rhythmic moves. Quadrille dancing is normally performed in conjunction with Quelbe music, where there are calls made to the dancers. Stanley and the Ten Sleepless Nights provided the music for the dancers. And as if that wasn’t enough to put us in a cultural trance, Stanley and the Ten Sleepless Nights hit the stage again with their signature sounds. Live music in the Virgin Islands just hits different, doesn’t it?

Food, Drinks, and Long Lines (Worth It!)

The lines for plates of food? Insanely long! But hey, the best things in life are worth the wait, right? I devoured some pate (crispy, golden perfection) and washed it down with some of that sweet, sweet sugarcane juice. Now, listen… sugarcane juice is non-negotiable for me when I’m in St. Croix. I even made it a point to grab a cup every Carnival Village night. Yes, I’m obsessed.

The vendors came through with some gems too. I walked away with a complete handmade jewelry set, bought gooseberry juice, sugarcane juice, and tamarind stew, and picked up a few butters from Vybz Naturale. Everything was as vibrant as the people serving them. Big shoutout to everyone who showed up and showed out with their colorful attire. The energy was contagious!
