Agrifest 2024 St. Croix: Video, Photos and My Fair Recap

Have you been to the Agriculture and Food Fair of the U.S. Virgin Islands, better known as Agrifest? I spent three days at the 52nd annual fair on St. Croix in February 2024. From the food and music to the people and agricultural displays, there was plenty to take in. Watch my original video and explore the photos below.

Agrifest 2024 dates and location
Agrifest 2024 took place February 17 through 19 at the Rudolph Shulterbrandt Agricultural Complex in Estate Lower Love, St. Croix. The theme was “AGRICULTURE: Our future and so much more in 2024.” UVI’s announcement listed the V.I. Department of Agriculture, UVI School of Agriculture, V.I. Department of Tourism, VI Lottery and VIYA as sponsors. Select the original poster below to read that announcement. This is a 2024 recap, not an upcoming fair schedule.
Music, culture and community
Music was a big part of my experience, with performances including Instylez International Band, Gus Bus Deh Band, and Stanley & the 10 Sleepless Knights. It was the kind of event where you could stop for a performance and then head back out to explore.
Food, vendors and a day on the fairgrounds
Agrifest was about much more than music. I saw live animals, fresh produce, clothing, and natural hair and body products. The agricultural displays and local vendors gave me plenty to explore between performances.
The fairgrounds cover a lot of space. During my 2024 visit, shuttle rides helped people get from one end to the other. If you plan a future visit, check that year’s official information rather than relying on the arrangements from this recap.
And then there was the food. From local favorites to other flavors, there was plenty to choose from. Getting fresh sugar cane on my third day was one of my favorite treats.
