What can I say? After my first Ocean Co’Mocean Poker Run, I wanted to experience more of them on other islands. I still had to work on manifesting my own boat first. The 2nd Annual Ocean Co’Mocean Poker Run took place on Sunday, May 21, 2023, in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Flo Dynasty was a proud sponsor.

What I learned about a poker run
I had the same question before this event. The following notes describe how the 2023 event worked. Rules, stops, entry requirements and prizes can change, so confirm current details with the organizer before participating.
Registration: Online registration was offered through VIPokerRun.com. The pre-registration party took place at the Pier 22 grand opening on May 20, 2023. Final registration was on May 21 at the waterfront across from the Federal Building. A boat was not required to participate in that event.
Card pull: Registered participants received a numbered scorecard and collected one card at each of five stops for a five-card hand.
Results: Participants’ cards were displayed beside their numbers on the scoreboard for officials to review. My original 2023 notes recorded cash prizes of $8,000, $4,000 and $2,000. These are historical figures, not a current prize offer.

My takeaway from the day
The positive, mature atmosphere, scenery and music made the experience for me. I left looking forward to another poker run. This post keeps those first-time memories from 2023 together.
