It’s that time again—St. Croix Carnival is coming!
The 74th St. Croix Crucian Christmas Festival runs from December 5, 2026 through January 2, 2027. This year’s theme is “A Cultural Blend from Beginning to End,” and the announced calendar brings us pageants, calypso, Madras Mas, Festival Village, Food Fair, J’ouvert, parades and fireworks.
• Sunday, December 20: Madras Mas — Buddhoe Park
For me, part of the fun is watching the season build. The pageants and calypso competitions start things off, Madras Mas brings the culture and color, and then Village opens on December 26. From there, the schedule moves fast: boat races, Breakfast Fête, Latin Night, Food Fair, Reggae Night, J’ouvert, the parades and the Festival finale.

The Carnival dates everybody wants to know
• Festival begins: December 5, 2026

• Last Call Village Night and fireworks: January 2
That December 26 through January 2 stretch is the busiest part of the celebration. If you’re traveling to St. Croix and cannot stay for the full Festival, that is the week to look at first.

So, what are you looking forward to?
The nightly 2026-2027 Village performer lineup is not included in the official schedule released so far. I’ll add it by date when the Division of Festivals makes the official announcement. I’m not filling that space with rumors, last year’s performers or unconfirmed reposts.
The same goes for start times, J’ouvert and parade routes, parking, traffic changes and road closures. If it is not confirmed yet, I would rather tell you that than send you out with the wrong information.
What’s happening next?
The first announced event is the Prince & Princess Pageant on Saturday, December 5 at Island Center.
